Akhter Sheerani

 

Muhammed Dawood Khan was born on 5th May, 1905 in Tonk. His ustad was 'Tajwar' Najibabadi. His works include Subah-e-Bahaar, Akhtaristan and Shahnaz. He passed away on 9th September, 1958 in Lahore. Akhtar Sheerani writes about love - not only love lost, but also love that is flourishing, but it threatening to wane away. Akhtar Sheerani superbly presents the emotions of pure, young, intense love and the affect if has on the words, thoughts, and feelings of those that it takes within its grasp. merii shaam-e-Gam ko vo bahalaa rahe hai.n
merii shaam-e-Gam ko vo bahalaa rahe hai.n 
likhaa hai ye Khat me.n ki ham aa rahe hai.n 

Thahar jaa zaraa aur dard-e-furqat 
hamaare tasavvur me.n vo aa rahe hai.n

Gam-e-aaqabat hai na fikr-e-zamaanaa 
piye jaa rahe hai.n jiye jaa rahe hai.n 

[aaqabat=life after death] 

nahii.n shikavaa-e-tashnagii mayakasho.n ko 
vo aa.Nkho.n se maiKhaane barasaa rahe hai.n 

vo rashk-e-bahaar aanevaalaa hai "Akhtar" 
ka.Nval hasarato.n ke khile jaa rahe hai.n
